For the Nelsons, furniture runs in the family. Jim Nelson, the owner of C&C, grew up traveling the country, buying and selling furniture with his father, Shorty Nelson. Jim continued that legacy, taking all five of his children on similar trips when he started his own furniture business in the 1990s. All of Jim’s children have worked in the family business since they were teenagers. Jim’s wife, Cathy, whom the business is named after (C&C stands for Cathy and Children), can even be seen occasionally helping out with deliveries, running errands, or on the sales floor. Jim and his youngest son Philip now run the business with their good friend Tiffany. C&C is still a family affair! You might even see one or two of Jim and Cathy’s 20+ grandchildren “helping” out on your next visit to C&C Furniture!
